We have been informed by Local Councillors that IdEA (the Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government) is predicting on Local Government Leadership Courses that elected Councillors will be replaced by appointed bodies in the not too distant future. IdEA is closely aligned to Common Purpose and we suspect that their leadership courses are also run to change values and views of those in the public sector. The suggestion that we are heading to a 'post democratic era' reflects the establishment and development of the Common Purpose network of elitest chosen 'leaders' to run society.
